Utah mortgage benefits
Veterans who separated from the military within the last five years may be eligible for the Utah Veteran First-Time Homebuyer Grant program. The program provides a $2,500 award for qualifying individuals buying their first home in the state. These grants may be used in addition to federal VA home loans.
Utah property tax benefits
Disabled veterans in Utah may be eligible for property tax abatement in Utah. To qualify, you must have at least a 10% disability rating with the VA. The exact amount of the exemption varies but can be up to $521,620 of the taxable value of the property. Surviving spouses and dependents may also qualify.

Utah income tax benefits
Utah does not tax VA disability compensation, DIC benefits, or military disability retirement pay. The state offers a tax credit for veterans receiving military retired pay.
Utah vehicle registration benefits

Utah has four state veteran homes for individuals who are aging or otherwise need skilled nursing care.
