Finally, veterans who receive retirement income from the military can receive a tax break on this benefit.

Honorably discharged veterans who have a 100% VA rating or receive TDIU are eligible for a free license with no future renewal fees. To qualify, the veteran’s rating must be considered permanent, and their disability must have been incurred in active duty service.
In addition to offering a variety of military specialty plates, Oklahoma provides Disabled American Veteran plates for a small fee to vets with a 50% VA rating or higher.
Veterans with at least a 50% VA disability rating also qualify for reduced fee auto tags.

Honorably discharged veterans with at least a 60% VA disability rating qualify for lifetime hunting and fishing licenses through the state’s Stars and Stripes License Project.
Other veterans with lower disability ratings between 0% and 50% may qualify for reduced-cost lifetime licenses.
