Yes. There are multiple reasons a veteran’s claim for VA benefits can be denied. The reasoning behind a denial can be as simple as the veteran filing the wrong forms when applying for benefits. Another common reason is a lack of evidence to sufficiently prove that a disability is service connected. Claims can also be denied due to basic human or technical error when the paperwork reaches the VA. On the veteran’s end, there is a responsibility to meet certain requirements and deadlines set by the VA. Failure to make these deadlines or attend your C&P exam can also lead to a denial.
