Veteran home loan/mortgage benefits
Arizona does not offer state home loan or mortgage benefits for veterans. However, veterans can apply for a federal VA home loan.
Veteran property tax benefits
Veterans who are totally and permanently disabled may qualify for a property tax exemption of up to $4,188 on their primary residence. Veterans applying must be a permanent resident of the state of Arizona and their property assessed value cannot exceed $28,459. Surviving spouses of a veteran who was totally and permanently disabled also qualify for the exemption.

Veteran income tax benefits
Arizona provides a full individual income tax exemption for benefits, annuities, and pensions received by military retirees.
Veteran vehicle registration benefits
Veterans may be eligible for vehicle license tax exemptions, special license plates, fee waivers for CDL skills tests, and more. Applications and additional information can be found at the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Veteran education benefits
Arizona has many resources and programs for veterans and families seeking higher education.
Eligible veterans and dependents can be granted immediate residency, making them eligible for in-state tuition rates.
Arizona also offers an honorary diploma program to honorably discharged veterans who were unable to finish their high school education due to service in WWII, the Korean War, or Vietnam.
Veteran hunting and fishing licenses
Veterans with 100% VA service-connected disability can obtain a complimentary hunting and fishing license.
Veterans who have a disability rating of less than 100% or who are a recipient of the Purple Heart are also eligible for a hunting and fishing license at a reduced fee.
