Veterans with TDIU can only work if they meet the restrictions for marginal employment, protected work environments, or sheltered work environments.
Are VA benefits based on income?
VA benefits for pension will consider a veteran’s income if the veteran is disabled from non-service-connected conditions. VA benefits for compensation will not consider a veteran’s income limit.
Why You Need a 60% VA Disability Rating for TDIU
You don’t have to have a 100% VA disability rating to receive 100% benefits. 60% is the minimum rating that qualifies a veteran for TDIU.
